The short answer is yes.
Today, the Early Access version of the game is being distributed on the App Lab as free to play.
However, some content/features are only accessible to players who purchase the Founder Pack. It's likely that the game will become paid in the future upon its final release.

The Founder Pack can be purchased by players directly in the game. It's a way to support us in our development efforts.
In exchange, players have access to all the game's content/features as they are released. Specifically, our founders have access to more tracks, the custom song creation feature, and many other things to come.
If the game becomes paid upon its release, founders will receive the game for free.

Currently, we do not have a specific launch date to announce.
We estimate that we will be ready in Q1 2024, or at the latest, Q2 2024.

Right now, the Early Access version is only available on the Meta Quest App Lab.
We are considering other platforms for the release, such as Steam.
At the moment, the game will be playable only in virtual reality.

The game currently supports the following headsets:
  • Meta Quest 2
  • Meta Quest Pro
  • Meta Quest 3
We will expand support to other headsets gradually if possible.

Yes, the game supports adding custom songs.
However, you need to have the Founder Pack for the game to detect your songs.
To learn how to create your own songs, it's best to visit the TF Editor page.

Once your custom song is ready, you'll need to copy the project folder to the right location for the game to detect it:
  • On Meta Quest, connect your headset to your PC, enable USB transfer, and place your folder in Android > data > com.GlitchrStudio.TaikoFrenzy > files > Tracks
If the Tracks folder doesn't exist, you'll need to create it.
